Lake Crescent: Pt. 2

Just a couple more images of Lake Crescent. Multilayered cloud formations were fun to watch as they pass over the lake.

Our grandson, Elliott, having a little fun with me :-).

Lake Crescent

Lake Crescent. The image with the kayaks near the lake is from the opposite side of the lake where we stayed. The other three images are from the shore of the lake where ew stayed one night. Our grandson, Elliott, is featured in one of those photos.

Very scenic area. The clouds would pass over the lake as you see. I think I have one more image of the cloud formations that I will post next time.

Photo credits: Ian King took the three images on his iPhone 5 and my photo has my watermark.

Ferns

The tallest ferns I have ever seen were in the Hoh Rainforest. Groves of 6′-8′ ferns, as a couple of these images show, are just amazing to see.

On to Lake Crescent in the next post ( I think).

Elliott’s Post

These images were either taken by our Brooklyn grandson, Elliott, or feature him. The location is still the Hoh River. It was such a nice day. This side of the Olympic Mountains has nearly 100″ of rain annually. Having a sunny, clear day is really a treat.

still waiting for a screen door as

the Freight Company, after waiting 6 weeks for the door, lost the shipment

so I’m now waiting for a replacement door, gratis of course, from the factory in Indiana.

Leaving Prairie City, OR.

The morning routine of packing, cleaning and unhooking from water, electric and waste lines. Making sure the site is clean as when we found it. We drove from Prairie City to John Day to check out the fossils ( next post). Wasn’t much traffic as we drove across central Oregon.
